In the low rolling hills of northern Italy, cheerful fields of sunflowers signify spring and summer’s return. In colorful celebration, a small Venetian ceramics company produces these spectacular mosaic pieces blending old- and new-world techniques. Damp clay is meticulously hand-carved to form original patterns, then molds are created to craft each piece. Artisans then fire and hand-paint them to resemble mosaics. Finally, a lustrous, durable glaze is applied. Food-safe. Handmade in Italy.
