In the Northeast, they’re called “shell-backs.” In the South, “candy bouncers” and “gliders.” We call them classic Americana. We found a company that rescues and refurbishes vintage furniture and returns it to its former glory with sandblasting, bright paint and baked powder-coating. Dating back up to 60 years, their sizes and styles vary distinctly, with minor pitting and blemishes as part of their character. Made in the USA. Chairs are approx. 20–22 x 21–23 x 32–34" h., 16–17" h. seat; Glider, 54 x 28 x 32" h., 18" h. seat.
